About Me

Hello, and thank you for visiting my store!  My name is Julie Spalluto.  I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA.  In 1989, I moved a few hours north to Santa Barbara to be closer to my family, and that’s where it all began!  Jewelry making has always been a passion of mine, and is inspired in great part by my extensive travels around the world.  As co-owner and buyer for my family business, Arte D’Italia Imports, (the Italian Pottery Outlet), I travel regularly to Italy.  I have also visited Latin America and the Orient.  I find my inspiration in the rich culture and art of these foreign lands, as well as the colors found in the natural world.  Each piece is of my original design, and hand-crafted by wrapping fine-gauge 18k and 14k gold wire with precious and semi-precious stones, such as rubies, turquoise, emeralds, and topaz.  My collection features everyday items to spice up jeans and a t-shirt, as well as more elegant pieces that are perfect for a special night out, and everything in between.  Enjoy!
